Last week my investor in New York City called, emphasizing he wanted a contemporary to modern home in the Southwest. He asked, "Do you have anything besides adobe homes?"

"Of course we have contemporary Santa Fe homes." The first builder I would recommend, one of the father's of contemporary building in Santa Fe for 30 years, Michael Hurlocker, Hurlocker Homes.

When you first walk in a Hurlocker home, you immediately feel invited. It's like you are swept into a main room with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. When those glass doors are open, the outside becomes part of the inside. Very Zen, very comfortable in Santa Fe's moderate climate. Hurlocker Home 4

Like every good home, the kitchen becomes part of the den area, which flows out to the covered patio. The home and lot align to emphasize huge mountain views over the pinon trees. This open flow in the design allows interaction with your family and friends. Open living concept is tied from room to room, and inside to outside.
